New Zealand Camp

Students from years 6 to 10 can apply to go on a 12 day tour of the North Island of New Zealand.

This camp is based in Rotorua and takes in the spectacular geothermal plains of the central North Island of New Zealand. Students and accompanying parents will see geysers and boiling mud pools in a range of locations. We also take time to visit and share in the culture of the Maori people from the region.

Another popular aspect of the trip is the chance to take personal risks within the safety of the structured adventure tourism attractions. Students can challenge themselves to push their personal boundaries while luging down the side of a mountain, riding a mountain bike through the redwood forest, falling from 45 metres on the Swoop or being launched from a giant air cushion into the Wairoa River!

The camp aims to challenge students to develop their independence and extend their personal boundaries while taking part in a range of uniquely ‘kiwi’ experiences.

The next New Zealand Camp will depart in April 2019. It is planned that this camp runs every 2 years.
