This year the Year 3/4 students had their annual camp at The Grampians Retreat in Dunkeld. Set in a bush environment amongst the beautiful backdrop of Mt Abrupt and Mt Sturgeon the students got the opportunity to see the Australian bush at its finest. Lucky they were to receive 3 days of sunshine at the end of the winter season, as they were able to enjoy all that Dennis and Marie and their wonderful camp had to offer. Surrounded by wildlife and plenty of Kangaroos the students slept in cabins of up to 9 and feasted on delicious treats and home cooking from the kitchen. Their camp started with a picturesque walk up The Piccaninny trail before getting stuck into some camp initiatives and compete in an all out 4-Way Tug-of-War. It was boys versus girls and the girls came home with the cookies beating the boys 3-2. Other fun activities involved Bush Cooking, The Low Ropes Course, night trail walks, treasure hunts and photo trails, the 100 metre Flying Fox and of course everyone's favourite...........the stomach turning..........18 metres high............. GIANT SWING!
