Week 3 was mental health week. It was a very successful week, in fact we successfully raised close to $500 which will be donated to Headspace in Warrnambool.
We held many events during the week. We sold jelly with lollipops in it to celebrate the start of the week. There was a daily colouring in competition and we had a quiz question on two of the days. The P-4s were lucky enough to have a yoga session and the 5-7s did some mindful colouring in during housegroup. Both the 8-10s and 5-7s had a talk about mental health with a focus on stress and some things you can do when you are feeling stressed. We had wake n shake for the P-4s which was a lot of fun and we finished the week off with a free dress day and sausage sizzle.
We would like to say thanks to the following people:
The whole leadership team for the support, you guys where amazing and really spiked our confidence to help us keep going.
Mr. Good, Mrs. Good, Kerry Boyden & Mrs. Carmody for making sure all things we wanted to do would be achieved.
A special thanks to Jenni Goddard for her talk, it was amazing.
Jo van den Huevel who volunteered her time and ran a yoga session for the P-4’s.
The mentors and P-4 teachers for allowing us to use some of your class time.
