For many it was a first time experience at the Halls Gap Zoo, for others it was a bit of a trip down memory lane. Whatever the circumstance we all had an absolute ball. We were lucky enough to get an encounter of the reptilian nature as we were introduced to a 7 foot long olive python named 'Oscar'. Not only did we find out about him but we also got to touch him and many of the students, parents and teachers had the opportunity to give Oscar a 'cuddle'.
We saw a fantastic array of animals from the sleepy cheetahs to friendly dingo's and a red panda who was frantically marking his territory. We saw a crocodile, an alligator, inquisitive meerkats, hungry wallaby's and deer, cranky turkeys, beautiful birds and some very cheeky marmoset monkeys. It was a great day and we would like to especially thank the parents who were able to join us for the day - without them the day would not have been possible.
